We are so excited to share our special day with you! As our plans come together, we’ll post the latest information here. We also wanted to share recommendations on places we love in Atlanta with you! Our wedding would not be complete without the people we love most! We hope you have an amazing time. No gifts are expected- we know attending a wedding is expensive!

Kristen and Mark's Story

April Fool’s Day 2023: It was Mark’s first day living in New York City after a lifetime in Georgia. A few people asked him if he was a fool to sell his house, both cars, and give away half his worldly possessions to live in a shoebox apartment. But he never had a doubt. A few months earlier, Kristen suddenly lost her job. They hadn’t been dating very long when that happened. Mark encouraged her to dream big and "Go get the best job you can, wherever that may be." Mark’s support and sacrifice showed Kristen she had a partner for both good times and bad. New York became their playground, and over 30 Broadway shows later, the adventure is just beginning. Mark and Kristen first met at a Mardis Gras party (thanks Dave!) and became friends before they started dating. What Kristen loves about Mark: He is considerate. He cares about my happiness more than anything. When we go on a date, he gives me several well-researched options and wants me to choose the destination. When I have a problem, I want Mark’s advice on how to solve it. After years as a consultant, Mark is used to dropping into situations where projects are behind deadline, over-budget, and tensions are high. He expertly navigates those situations. He always takes time to understand my problem, and help me decide the best way forward. Mark and I view life through the same lens. We have so many common interests. I love giving him the long version of a story over a run or a glass of wine. What Mark loves about Kristen: Kristen has an aura of positivity and energy that is infectious to everyone she meets. Kristen brings so much energy and enthusiasm to life that she lifts me up, gets me out of my shell, and encourages me to get out and try new things. When I am down she is always there with a kind word. When I need someone to listen she is ready without judgement. And most importantly she always gives me space to figure things out together. Kristen's friends and family have gone out of their way to make me feel at home, rather than a duck out of water. I will be eternally grateful to everyone, my friends and family and hers, for making our wedding day the best day it could ever be. Eye on the Future: May 2nd is when so many of our favorite people will meet for the first time! When we started dating, Mark would eagerly ask for his “feedback report” every time he met one of Kristen’s friends. Of course everyone loved him! And the same was true in reverse. Mark’s family thought Kristen was tailor-made for him! Our wedding is the final piece of the puzzle, where all of our loved ones will be together in the same place. We can’t wait to find out what comes next!

If you have ever met Dave you would know he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. From his huge Mardi Gras parties to Sunday football games, his door is always open. Dave helped teach me to cook, introduced me to terrible but entertaining horror films, and was always there when I needed help. Dave introduced Kristen and me. Without Dave this wedding may never have happened. Dave had a huge impact on my life and I couldn't ask for a better best man.

When you meet Joey you will quickly realize he is an intelligent young man with many interests. One moment he will be telling you about the proper style of tuxedo to wear to an event (I hope I got it right) and the next moment he will be teaching a group of 11 year olds to play craps or poker. Whether he chooses to be a lawyer, politician, musician, or a professional card shark we have no doubt he will be successful in whatever path he chooses.

Denise has always been the most generous big sister. 
 When I was little and scared to be alone at night, Denise would let me stay in her room.  In high school, she let me borrow whatever I wanted from her closet, which was always more fabulous then my own!  Even now, when I call needing a favor, I know she’ll come through.  She has made me an Aunt, which is the most entertaining role of my life!  Denise is a busy mom and a cardiologist. Her talent, ambition and work ethic is a benefit to everyone around her, from her patients, to her kids!

Spending time with Gracie is always an adventure! We used to love playing hide and seek.  Now we prefer prank phone calls.  Gracie will be your aerobics instructor and your hair dresser all in the same day!  While she pleaded to “audition” to do my hair for my wedding- I’m not sure I’m ready to look that amazing!  Gracie displays a great determination when she's learning a new skill.  I know that will carry her far!

Shuttles to Kimball Hall provided for guests staying at Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta on our wedding day, Saturday May 2, 2026. Board the shuttle between 3 PM and 3:10 PM. The shuttles will depart for Kimball Hall at 3:10 PM to leave guests time to be seated ahead of the ceremony. The shuttle will be available to make trips between the hotel and wedding venue for guests who wish to return early. The main shuttles will depart Kimball Hall shortly after the 9 PM send-off of bride and groom. Book a room at Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta by April 1st through the link below to receive the rate of $139 (plus taxes). We suggest booking earlier to ensure availability. Free cancellation before April 28th.Hotel provides free parking. While the rate applies to Thursday through Sunday nights, you can choose whichever nights you'd like to stay. We have reserved a combination of King rooms and Queen rooms. If you do not see your preferred room type please let us know and we will have the hotel add additional rooms.

Good wine tasting, and our favorite winery to choose for lunch!Other great wineries are <a href="https://www.kayavineyards.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Kaya</a> (good views &amp; charcuterie plates) <a href="https://www.yonahmountainvineyards.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Yonah Mountain Vineyards</a> (pair with a hike) <a href="https://frogtown.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Frogtown </a>(good red wine and woodfired pizzas), and<a href="https://www.faintinggoatvineyardsandwinery.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> Fainting Goat </a>(further drive then the others- but amazing views).

1 hour drive from Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta. If you had a Cabbage Patch Kid or stood in a long line to buy one for your child, this place is full of nostalgia! You could also pair this with a visit to the North Georgia Wine Country.

This is a 90 minute drive from Atlanta- but a truly unique experience that kids and adults will both love. You drive yourself through the safari and feed exotic animals like zebras and emus! They sell food to feed the animals- buy way more than you think you need- as it is super fun when the animals are swarming you for food. And trust us- don't drive your own vehicle- rent one of their jeeps if you don't have a rental car,

One hour 20 minute drive from Atlanta. If you've enjoyed ziplining anywhere in the world, we'd be willing to bet this one rivals or tops it! Note- kids have to be at least 10 to enjoy the best ziplines. Definitely a high adventure option.

The dining options at Avalon and Historic Downtown Roswell are all delicious and convenient for guests staying at Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta. We also wanted to highlight a few of our favorite special occasion restaurants in other locations. <a href="https://www.raysatkillercreek.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ray's Killer Creek</a> (Seafood &amp; Steak- very close to Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta with easy parking). <a href="https://canoeatl.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Canoe </a>is lovely for dining with views of the Chattahoochee River. <a href="https://www.aria-atl.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Aria</a> in Buckhead is an all-time favorite.
